Chris Bodle lives and works in Bristol, UK. His work explores our relationship with places, the local and specific, at the same time making connections with wider issues such as climate change and the broader ecological crisis – directly linking it to our everyday lives. He most often works in or with public space.
His aim is to make work that has immediacy and engages in a directly accessible way. This often involves working across fields and working collaboratively with other artists, architects, landscape architects, filmmakers, scientists, community groups and activists.
“I believe that working in this way can generate interventions that sometimes provoke, engage, connect and question, but also open up possibilities for direct actions that repair and regenerate.”
